 About ABA Health:

ABA Health is an accredited skills-based training institution that started in 2005. Over the years, the institution has assisted learners to develop industry relevant skills, thereby gaining employment and admission into higher institutions.

 Course Introduction:

This is an entry-level Qualification for those who are in or want to enter the field of Education, Training and Development specifically within the sub-field of Early Childhood Development (ECD). This qualification is aimed at people who are already practising within the field without formal recognition as well as for those who wish to enter the field. The qualification enables recipients to plan and prepare for early childhood development; facilitate and monitor the development of babies, toddlers and young children; and provide care and support to babies, toddlers and young children. The qualification is offered as a distance study course with learners working at ECD Centres.

           

Childcare Worker Training 101

 Course Introduction:

The Children’s Act requires that all staff practising in Nursery Schools must have formal training pertaining to Early Childhood Development. This short course is therefore aimed at Nursery School Assistants and Teachers with no formal training / qualification. The learning areas covered in the course include: Responsibilities of a Childcare Worker, Safety in Classroom and Playground, Hygiene, Observation and Reporting, Caring for Babies, Assisting with the Classroom Program, Milestones per Age Group, Discipline in the Classroom and Playground Supervision etc.
